To Believe in Ourselves
„One must also rebuke the smallness of faith in oneself, the deficient recognition of one's own soul-endowment, in order to return to the greatness that is fitting.”From Shemonah Kevatzim III:196
When we do not value ourselves properly, we sin against ourselves. And just as we must rebuke and correct one who belittles others, we must rebuke and correct ourselves for diminishing the worth of who we truly are. Distancing oneself from arrogance is one of the most important things there is. But there is no humility in losing faith in our strength and our ability. When we know how to truly value ourselves, we will be able to be better and to build a better world.
