The Light of Life
„Wretched are the people whose very essence of life is empty of the life-giving light of pure faith.”From Ma'amrei HaRa'ayah, 'Faith'
One can succeed. Build a career, a family, do good for others, be a person of values and honor. And yet feel that something inside remains empty. Faith is not merely an answer to the question of whether God exists. It is the knowledge that our lives are not a collection of random events, but part of something greater than ourselves. That they have direction, meaning, and purpose. When a person lives this way, even work, family, giving, and struggle take on a different depth. They are no longer merely good deeds, but part of a whole life. Therefore wretched is the person, and wretched is the nation, that has no divine faith – for it has lost the compass that gives all its life meaning. When faith shines, life itself shines as well.
