When the Will Falls into Place

„The foundation of trust and joy flows from inner clarification.”From Rishon LeYafo, 34

Trust and joy flow from inner clarification. What is this clarification? 'That one should desire, even regarding his own affairs, only what the Master of all desires.' In other words, a person asks whether his will stands aligned with God's will – whether I am seeking what the Holy One asks of me. This clarification must pass through Torah, mitzvot, ethics, and the ways of life. A person cannot desire what God desires while living outside His ways. We can tell ourselves various stories and various rationalizations, but in the end, in order to live a life of faith and wholeness, we received from the Holy One the Torah and the mitzvot, and we must walk in His ways.
