„At times one may find a heretic who has a strong, inner, luminous faith, flowing from the source of the supernal holiness, more than thousands of believers of little faith. This applies to private individuals as well as to generations, and of them all it is said, 'The righteous shall live by his faith.'”From Shemonah Kevatzim, I, 765
One of the most terrible and problematic things is the fact that we judge our environment. We give grades to others.
This short passage contains within it the idea of a very long article that the Rav wrote called 'Ma'amar HaDor' ('The Article of the Generation'), whose main purpose is: there are hidden things, there are deep processes that to the eyes of flesh may appear as terrible and dreadful things, but within them a great treasure is embedded.
Happy holiday!
