All Is for the Good

„One who seeks God always... will be emboldened and rejoice in the gift of his lot.”From Shemonah Kevatzim VII:208

One whose outlook is free of personal interests and private needs, and who believes in the Holy One with a powerful faith, will know no sorrow. This conception is one the Rav implants throughout his writings. There is a Holy One in the world, and the Holy One causes the world to move toward a purpose. Along the way there are immense pains that we, as human beings, experience and grieve over. But alongside them we must know that there is a ruler of the palace. This does not mean there will be no evil, and it resembles the saying "all is for the good" - the knowledge that not everything is good, but that there is a design and a path along which we walk, whose end is for the good.
