To Be Rebuilt Anew
„When boredom and sorrow grow in a person's heart, let him know that from the source of grief and from the darkness of desolation will come joy and the light of life, for chaos and void preceded the world of building.”From Shemonah Kevatzim 3:87
There are moments when the need for change cries out because reality is unbearable. Rav Kook argues that these very moments are the trigger for redemption and success. True, for one who is currently going through such moments, the words may seem detached. But the moment in which we understand the need for change and are compelled to make it — because for us there is no possibility of remaining in the darkness — that is the moment of light in our lives. And this is true both personally and nationally. If we do not surrender, we prevail and move forward!
