To Dare to Think

„And since a person begins to be afraid to think, behold he goes and sinks in the mud of ignorance, which takes away the light of his soul, causes his strength to stumble, and clouds his spirit.”From Orot HaKodesh III, 27

When we stop ourselves from expression, from voicing our position and from self-searching, we decree ignorance upon ourselves. The Holy One, blessed be He, created within us knowledge so that we would express a position — that we would ask questions, that we would advance our unique light in the world. When we refrain from doing this, there is less light in the world and more darkness.
