Mishpetei HaRav Kook / The Matter Is in Our Hands

„We are able to draw great souls into the world, souls that will have a mighty will and great power, to bring redemption to the world, to remove all the gloom in life, and to overcome all the weaknesses in it. And it all depends on our will, on the desire to rise to the heights of the supreme holiness, in a constant and original demand, in a firm sanctification of flesh and spirit, in resembling God by walking in His ways.”From Orot HaKodesh, HaRatzon LiGe'ulah

One of the wonders of the world — and one of the simplest and clearest things in the world — is that we determine our lives and our future. It is in our hands to make our lives good or bad, simple or complicated. Indeed, there are objective things that shake up or improve our lives, but in the end, the way we choose to act in the face of them and in the face of the tumult of life is what will create the map of our lives.
