Mishpetei HaRav Kook / To Illuminate from Our Strength
„Sometimes the spirit becomes dark in some field, and the aim of this darkness is none other than a central light — that is, that the rays of light be concentrated in one focused place, and from there rule over all the surrounding sides, and afterward a great light will shine from the center even upon those dark places.”From Shemonah Kevatzim V, 113
Sometimes we do not succeed in a certain thing, and then we gather strength and try to repair the flaw that exists there. When nothing helps and we still do not succeed, we must know that the aim is for us to devote ourselves to what we are good at. This devotion will lead us to a great light that will influence even the places in which we do not succeed. The wisdom is not to focus on our weaknesses, but on our strengths, and through that to elevate our weaknesses as well.
