Mishpetei HaRav Kook / To Repair the World

„In every moral repair, and every good trait, every worthy study and every good deed — even the smallest of the small, and even a pleasant conversation — one elevates the spirituality within one's soul... and consequently, with the elevation of one part of existence, all of existence is elevated.”From Middot HaRe'iyah, Tikkun

The well-known story is told of a person who wanted to repair the entire world, and he was instructed to begin with repairing himself. This is the level and the way to advance. One who truly wants to repair reality begins with repairing his own flaws, and from within this repair all of reality rises, flourishes, and improves.
