An Opportunity for Repair

„When the whole world is full of flaw... then the upright person finds his task, the courage of his spirit, and the mission of his life.”From Shemonah Kevatzim V, 1

Do you know the feeling of disgust at the state of things outside? The feeling that more and more public systems are run with a lack of honesty and integrity? This difficult feeling is what Rav Kook describes here. A world of 'whoever is stronger prevails' and of arm-twisting. Such a world could easily move all of us into a mode of despair. Rav Kook's solution is the opposite. Precisely when the evil grows stronger, the time of the good people arrives to pour forth an abundance of good. To carry out a deep, inner repair. This is true both nationally and personally. It depends on no one but me!
