To Add Light

„The knowledge of God is founded upon fleeing from flawed, fragmented, and deficient life toward a whole, vivid, and full life, even in this world. And a single spark of the light of the living God dwelling in some heart is already enough to dispel vast, unfathomable darkness.”From Shemonah Kevatzim II, 84

Judaism is built upon a deep and broad view of life as a whole. Its purpose is to create a whole and good life on every plane, with an understanding of the good and evil in the world, and with the knowledge of how each person may open up for themselves and their surroundings a good and complete life. From this place there are certain laws that at a superficial glance are not understood, but with a deep look, and sometimes a long-term look, one grasps the depth of the divine wisdom. The aim of Judaism is not self-affliction and a constricted life, but a full life that takes into account the world around us with its limitations and capacities, and the human being with their drives and needs.
