„And the lowly state shall be for me a source of learning, in what man…”

„And the lowly state shall be for me a source of learning, in what manner to arrange the paths for the days to come.”From Shemonah Kevatzim VI, 9

Over the years, various interests turned struggles into sins and falls into wickedness. Rav Kook fought against this conception already a hundred years ago. The Jewish conception is that a person is not a perfect creature, and that struggles are part of one's capacity to advance and become complete. "In the place where masters of repentance stand, the wholly righteous do not stand." It is precisely the sources of difficulty that are able to lift us up and make us better.
