When we succeed in repenting — in improving, in turning a new leaf — the world begins to cooperate with us. The Rav goes further and says in the continuation of his words that in such a state "all the flaws of the old world pass away and are erased." What causes this new beginning? What is the reason that what stood before us yesterday as a wall that permitted no movement became, with such ease, wonderful and good? The change we make in our outlook causes the world to smile back at us. The inner place that leads us can make our lives easier and better through a change of perspective. It seems the easiest thing in the world, and it is insanely hard. It seems insanely hard, but it is actually the easiest thing in the world...
