10 May 2012 · A sentence from the teachings of Rav Kook

„Every spark of light that draws a person nearer to a purer beholding…”

„Every spark of light that draws a person nearer to a purer beholding of truth, descending into his soul, changes for him the whole world entire. And in every direction the person turns after the new illuminating spark has penetrated within him, he finds in them new and wondrous things that were not there for him at first, whereas in the place of the spreading of the illumination of that new spark, darkness had ruled. (Shemonah Kevatzim 4:45)”

When we decide to be better, our world changes. Our relationship to all creatures, to all phenomena, becomes a different relationship, and our feelings are entirely different.

And as is our relationship to the outer, so too the relationship to the inner.

The decision that ripens within us, and the beginning of the light that shines within us, works wonders and creates within us new powers of new light.

Have a pleasant rest of the day, everyone!

For the recovery of Shula bat Sultana, Kusa bat Bova.
