„A single individual must first find himself within himself, and after…”
„A single individual must first find himself within himself, and afterward he finds himself in the world surrounding him - which is his society, his community, and his people.”From Orot HaKodesh II, 3, 32
The passage that concludes the chapter 'The All-Encompassing Unity' in the book 'Orot HaKodesh' speaks of the foundation. Our ability to mend begins within us.
If we wish to make a change in the environment close to us, we must first be able to reach ourselves. From this place, the changes we make can be infinite. A mended person, a person who 'finds himself within himself,' is a person who can break through the heavens and reach the highest places.
A moment before we demand that the world change, a moment before we blame the whole world - we must look inward. From here, and after the inner work we do, we will be able to change the entire world.
