„The sins that a lack of physical order causes must first be mended, through the improvement of one's way of life, to which composure of mind and practical wisdom must come to aid.”From Shemonah Kevatzim, VI, 8

'A healthy soul in a healthy body' is not merely a recommendation but an entire way of life. Rav Kook opens 'Orot HaTeshuvah' with natural, physical repentance. As a foundation for the rest of the repentances that are built upon it.

In this passage too the Rav speaks of improving the way of life. Of mending the affairs of the body as a foundation for the rest of the mendings we must do.

With the arrival of the new year and all the commitments we take upon ourselves, it is our duty to include the affairs of the body as part of this year's mendings. And according to the Rav, as a foundation for the rest of the mendings.
