The Eternal People

We believe that our people has a great destiny in the world. To be a people that lives its earthly life, while at the same time being connected to the Holy One, blessed be He. A ladder set upon the earth whose top reaches the heavens. When a people carries within it a great destiny, its successes too are great and its failures too are great. The mistakes of such a people are not small mistakes, and therefore the troubles that stem from them may be deep and painful. But to the same degree, its power of renewal is also great, and the consolation and revival that come after the crises are correspondingly great. Precisely in the days we are now experiencing, one can feel this with intensity. There is great tension, worry, and an enormous national effort, but together with them are revealed also open miracles, extraordinary successes, and strengths that never cease to surprise. Precisely within the tension and the struggle, the power of the eternal people is revealed once again.
