Jewish heroism has its source in unity, in the ability to take from each one his drop of light and to gather all the lights into one great torch. We bless "to kindle the Hanukkah candle" and not "the Hanukkah candles," out of an understanding that in each and every candle there is tremendous power, and precisely the unity of them all together, with the difference embedded in them and with the power of their unity - brings victory and good.
