To Advance
„When a person is elevated in his thought, and thinks that he will conduct himself in supernal ways in deed, and already senses within himself an inner tranquility, let him know that this is not the resting place, and these lights that now shine in their full force will yet be blurred, so that mightier and clearer lights than they may come to appear in him and, through him, in the whole world.”From Shemonah Kevatzim I, 858
We have completed a stage, and sometimes we feel on cloud nine. Here we have reached the top, we have advanced. But in life it does not work that way. After completing a stage, the need for the next stage arrives. And why? Because we were built to advance, to develop, and to develop the world around us. And therefore we must enjoy our successes and rejoice in them, and alongside this understand that they are the foundation for the next step.
