To Return to Life
„The natural soul of the nation, which fainted in the days of exile, must return to its full vigor.”From Shemonah Kevatzim VIII, 83
We continue with understanding the value of the Land of Israel and the uniqueness of the Torah within it. The Rav explains that in exile we were in a slumber; we fainted, we lost consciousness. And when we return home, when we recharge, we return to consciousness, we return to life. The return to the Land of Israel and the establishment of the State are not only a geographic consolidation; they are an essential change in the content of life, they are a return to life. And this must influence all our ways of living.
