To Believe

„Awaken, my soul, awaken in your divine greatness; do not nullify yourself, and do not submit before arrogant rebels who cannot grasp the movement of your spirit and the delicacy of your soul in its pure images, and in its supreme yearning toward the delicate exaltation – the divine exaltation – and toward the revered uprightness, truth, and purity. Know your worth and lift yourself up.”From Shemonah Kevatzim VIII, 69

Our ability to act in the world requires an independent standing on our part. Faith in ourselves. And a standing firm against foreign voices from the outside that try to puncture us. Our soul, your soul, brings a unique light to the world. A light of the world. A special letter in the Torah scroll that makes the world different and better. The aspiration to truth, to repair, and to improvement must be the pillar of cloud and fire in our lives, and the more we aspire to this, the more we must be in a place that believes in our strengths and our capabilities. Even in difficult times, even in states of depression and nothingness, we must strengthen the faith in our strength and our capability. To understand that the powers that exist within us are the way to rise in this world, to advance in it and to advance it.
