To Return to Naturalness
„The foundation of the festival of Sukkot is to develop this natural virtue of the holiness of faith.”From Shemonah Kevatzim VII, 139
As part of the fact that on Sukkot we return to nature, the essence of Sukkot is the return to naturalness. A return that will cause, in the future to come, the entire world to desire and to be a part. Thus the festival of Sukkot is a festival on which the nations of the world come to the Temple and join in the service of God, each and every nation with its offering and its portion. And this virtue develops through listening, dwelling in the sukkah, dwelling in nature. Going out from the rushing flow of life to a time and place in which the dimension of nature is absorbed in all its powers and its strengths.
