„...of Rav Kook, whose day of passing falls this week, and this time: natural spiritual repentance of the soul. *** More inward is the natural repentance of soul and spirit. It is what is called...”
In continuation of our previous study from this past Thursday, we will study natural repentance of the soul.
This repentance is a person's listening to his inner voice, to the natural morality that tells him "do" and "do not do." Just as we need our body in its health for the observance of the Torah and the commandments, so too we need our powers of soul.
This repentance is not simple; there are times when a person feels whole and moral but is very far from it, and there are times when a moral person feels himself a sinner and lost. Therefore one must be careful with sensations and feelings.
Together with this, when a person succeeds in being attentive to himself, he is at a very high level and in a lofty capacity for rectification.
A good and blessed week.
