6 January 2015 · A sentence from the teachings of Rav Kook

„Awake, my soul, awake in your divine greatness; do not efface yoursel…”

„Awake, my soul, awake in your divine greatness; do not efface yourself, and do not be subdued before the arrogant and rebellious, who cannot grasp the disposition of your spirit and the delicacy of your soul in its pure images, and in its supreme yearning toward the delicate exaltation, the divine exaltation, and toward the revered uprightness, truth, and purity. Know your worth and rise up. (Shemonah Kevatzim, VIII, 69)”

A person who recognizes his worth is a person who can act in the world.

Without being subdued, without effacing himself.
