Progress

„If the impulse grows stronger each day along new paths of chaos, I will know that it has come to pave a way to raise all these days into the light of the supernal life.”From Shemonah Kevatzim VI:218

When our struggles become harder, it is a sign that we have risen a level. It is true that when we are deep in the difficulty we feel the struggle alone, and we grapple with the very existence of the hardship and of the struggle itself. But the Rav explains that a new struggle points to a new reality and to progress. We are no longer at an easy stage, but at a more advanced one. Because of this the difficulties intensify, and consequently the lights that will grow out of the hardship will intensify and grow mightier as well.
