Balancing the Forces of Good

„Clear knowledge generates the will... the might of the will generates the ability... knowledge, will, and ability are always bound together.”From Orot HaKodesh III:58

Here the Rav describes the way movement is created within a person. When we understand something and internalize its necessity, will takes shape. And when we want something, the ability to attain it is created within us. Thus there is a cycle of knowledge, will, and ability that drives us - a cycle in which the balance of these three forces creates continuous movement. And so one mitzvah leads to another: because we understand, and then we want, and then we succeed and are able, and thus forces are formed within us. And so too in reverse, God forbid: when cessation enters, a cycle of cessation is formed.
