Rising to Revival
„The exile veiled our character, oppressed us, but did not destroy even a single grain of all our treasures. All that is prepared for us is found with us; all that must be great and blossoming is small, shrunken, and withered, but everything will grow great, everything will return to blossom — 'Israel shall bud and blossom.'”From Orot HaTechiyah 62
When we were there, in exile, we preserved our Judaism as if in a jar. Sealed as much as possible and without any ability to change a thing. That is how it had to be preserved when it is not in its home — in the Land of Israel. And now, that we have arrived home, we must return to ourselves. To return to renewing, to learning, to responding to the renewing reality with the tools that were given to us at Sinai. Our DNA has not changed even for a moment. What was unique in us then, before the exile, is unique also today. Now, when the people of Israel return to their land, this is the time to restore the crown to its former glory.
