Mishpetei HaRav Kook / Opportunity in the Crash

„At the time when a person feels a fall, on account of weakness of spirit and a moral stumble, let him take to heart that from the depths of the abysses he must draw precious pearls, and he will return and ascend.”From Shemonah Kevatzim VIII, 104

When a person crashes and falls to the lowest places, he must remember that together with the harsh sensation of falling, he is standing before an opportunity. Nature teaches us that it is precisely in the lowest places that the precious stones are found. And life, too, shows that in the hard moments one can gather deep understandings, clarifications that can be made only in such falls, and new opportunities that arise precisely then.
