The Depth of Repair

When we begin a process of repair, we may reach a state in which we are horrified by ourselves. We thought we needed a small repair, and when we began the inner renovation we discovered layer upon layer that had been built shakily. But it is precisely then that it is important for us to understand that this stems from a great light shining within us, and not from darkness — and that the signs heralding to us the need for repair are "the very best signs, heralding to him an eternal salvation in the repair of the soul, and he shall be greatly strengthened in this in the Lord his God."
