The Unique Path
„Every person has his own path by which he comes to his happiness, to the purpose of his existence, in which he cleaves to his Maker; and he cannot reach the goal of his desire by another path, even though it is a straight path for others.”From Pinkas Yerushalayim 5693, 4
Every person has a unique path by which he can reach his happiness, fulfill the purpose of his life, and draw close to his Creator. What is straight, right, and good for one person will not suit another. We tend to forget this not only regarding ourselves, but also regarding our children and the people close to us, and at times we try to steer them onto the very path we chose. But true love is not to demand of the other that he walk in our way, but to help him discover the way meant for him. This does not mean that every choice is correct, or that there is no need for boundaries and guidance, but that within the boundaries of truth there are different ways, different powers, and a different pace for each soul.
