A Deep Connection
„All the contradictions found among the opinions... to the inner observer appear as the local distances between saplings, which serve for the good of their freshness and the fullness of their nourishment, so that each and every one may develop in its fullness.”From Shemonah Kevatzim V, 61
The distance that is created between us seems like a disaster. Rav Kook, in his way, looks upon this distance too as something that can be good. He likens it to the distance between saplings — one that allows every opinion and stance to develop in its place, to grow, to increase, and to flourish. When space and time are given, we will be able, at the end of the process, to see a more complete, beautiful, and full picture. And what begins in outward separation will end in a deep connection.
