In recent centuries a miracle is taking place in the world, of a people returning to its land and homeland. The Jewish people is returning from all the ends of the earth to the Land of Israel and establishing there a Jewish state. The return of the Jewish people to its land is not merely a technical settlement, but a new and additional stage in the advancement of the whole world. "Whoever dwells in the Land of Israel is like one who has a God, and whoever dwells outside the Land is like one who has no God" (Ketubot 110b). The return of the Jewish people to its land and the return to Zion is an immense privilege that we have merited in recent generations.
