„Sometimes what a single deed corrupts, a multitude of ideas and feeli…”

„Sometimes what a single deed corrupts, a multitude of ideas and feelings cannot mend. And sometimes a single thought mends a multitude of practical corruptions, and a multitude of deeds cannot mend what one great thought accomplishes.”From Shemonah Kevatzim VI, 118

Sometimes we make mistakes that cost us dearly — a single mistake that ruins for us work and building of years, a single act of mockery that repels a hundred rebukes and values. And the repair of that mistake is very, very hard. And sometimes, with a single good thought, we can mend many of our mistakes, change direction, and raise ourselves to the highest places. The power of thought is immense, for good and for ill. If we devote time to stop and think, we can mend so much on our own. Just to stop, and to think.
