Intermingling

„At times it is difficult for the great soul to do any particular work, or any limited study and contemplation, because it is always occupied with images whose stream does not cease from its constant flow, and they include intermingled matters, and hidden, most exalted longings.”From Shemonah Kevatzim 2, 89

There are moments in which we want so much, but do not succeed in translating the immense will into action. Our inner world is flooded with movement, depth, yearnings, and general ideas that seek to express a truth greater and broader than the framework given to us. The Rav shines a spotlight on the difficult feeling, on that sense of stuckness that may accompany it. And he consoles that in that moment of stuckness there is depth and elevation.
