„As long as imagined honor is dear to a person, his eye is blinded from beholding the light of God in truth.”From Shemonah Kevatzim 1:382

When a person pursues honor, he distances himself from the Holy One, blessed be He.

The reason is that such a person places himself at the center of his life and his being, and he sees no one but himself before his eyes.

Such a person will also not see his friends and his surroundings.

We thus understand that if we wish to draw close to the Holy One, blessed be He, and to all His creatures, we must learn and strengthen ourselves in the quality of humility.

Have a pleasant rest of the day, everyone!

For the recovery of Roza bat Bova.
