„The Lord did not turn to Cain and to his offering, because of the wic…”

„The Lord did not turn to Cain and to his offering, because of the wickedness that was gripped within him. That murder which was later carried out into actuality was already hidden and stored up in potential even at the time he brought the offering from the fruit of the ground.”From Shemonah Kevatzim, VII, 45

The postmodern thought according to which the whole world is equal causes evil to raise its head. In the name of freedom of expression and thought, and in the name of the desire for equality, destructive people are given power in the world. We see this in the face of terrorists; we also see it in violent societies. Cain's thought, like Korach's thought, was that everyone is equal, and this thought brought death into the world. In the name of equality Cain murdered Abel; in the name of equality Korach brought a plague upon the entire people. The world's ability to ascend to a world containing justice is not found in an imagined equality that gives power to the wicked, but in a deep understanding of and respect for each and every role of each and every person in the world—this is how it is possible to rectify!
