15 April 2012 · A sentence from the teachings of Rav Kook

„The redemption is continuous and ongoing. The redemption of Egypt and…”

„The redemption is continuous and ongoing. The redemption of Egypt and the complete future redemption are one action that does not cease — the action of the mighty hand and the outstretched arm, which began in Egypt and which performs its actions in all circumstances.”From Shemonah Kevatzim 5:109

The redemption of Israel is not a one-time event. History — or as the Rav would write it, 'histaria' — is an inseparable part of the future; from the past we can learn the future and the rest of what befalls us.

And even the falls that exist are part of a long and complex process of a redemption that does not cease until the coming of our righteous Messiah.

Have a pleasant rest of the day, everyone!

For the recovery of Tzipora bat Yimna.
