28 March 2012 · A sentence from the teachings of Rav Kook

„From the heights of supernal existence, speech comes to the mouth of…”

„From the heights of supernal existence, speech comes to the mouth of man, and one cannot fathom how great are the practical and spiritual deeds that speech accomplishes, from the moment it detaches from the source of its light until it comes to be expressed... And when it is bound to divine thought through Torah and prayer, there is no end or limit to its light and the radiance of its riches, and it truly creates worlds.”From Shemonah Kevatzim, I, 600

The power of speech is immense, and when we treat the words we utter with respect, we can create great things. It follows from this that when we do not do so, we destroy.

And when we speak words of Torah, and when we pray, we continue a chain of Jews throughout all the generations who utter the word of God.

A pleasant day to all!

In memory of Michael ben David.
