„One must become accustomed, in every vision of holiness, not to see in it the negation of secular values, but rather their perfection in a spiritual form—more beautiful and more glorious.”From Shemonah Kevatzim, VI, 230
Sometimes, when one reaches heights, a will of negation is liable to appear—looking back with contempt.
Holiness, and advancement within it, is not built from the ruins of the secular, but precisely from its perfection and development. The world in which we live is God's world, and even in the day-to-day, in secular matters, when one rises well, there is a possibility of reaching the highest places.
When we truly succeed in raising something to holiness, it creates within us positive powers of building and of added strength, and not of contempt and cessation.
Continue to have a good day
