To Be in Motion

„The pain of standing in one place pierces and descends to the depths of the soul, and the sensation of the ache is very great.”From Orot HaTeshuvah 15:3

In 'Orot HaTeshuvah,' Rav Kook explains that there is a pain greater than crashing, and it is standing in place. The unknown moment before the fall or the great ascent. Our soul drives us to advance constantly, to be better, and the moment in which we stand and do not move is unbearable. When we crash, sometimes we do not care, and sometimes in the very crash there is the tidings of crisis and rebirth. But when we merely stand, we suffer.
