Days of Rebirth

„Our aim is always directed not only toward being redeemed from Egypt... but toward the uncovering of the whole light.”From Pinkas Yerushalayim, 68

Within the whole process of the revival of our people, Rav Kook reminds us: true redemption is not summed up in being rescued from trouble or in fleeing from exile. Our aim is not to escape the past, but to reveal a new light, a full life, a great soul that spreads its light over all sides of life. We return to our land not only in order to build walls and to save ourselves from suffering, but in order to manifest in the world that immense ray of light hidden in the depths of our soul, in order to revive the divine light within Israel, to revive ourselves and the whole world.
