The Torah of the Land of Israel
„In the might of the sanctified flesh, the soul that had weakened will shine – a foreshadowing of the physical resurrection of the dead.”From Orot HaTechiyah, 33
In exile there was a complete dichotomy between the secular and the holy. In order to preserve the Torah, we constricted ourselves. The might of the body weakened and disappeared, and the might of the spirit took its place. We arrived in the Land of Israel; here we need, alongside the might of the spirit, also the might of the flesh and the secular. A might that lifts the spirit and brings it to a height seven times as great. The image of the bent and gaunt body of the Torah scholar will be replaced by the image of the strong man who combines the book and the sword. The Torah of the Land of Israel.
