To Be a Connector

„I must receive all the flowing rivers, and even though they come to me very scattered, in the end they will unite.”From Shemonah Kevatzim VI, 1

"I cannot confine myself to one matter," Rav Kook opens the passage "I must draw from all the styles." The Rav's outlook and desire was to try to unite different colors, to understand them as a whole and complementary picture rather than as a war of forces. For this, the Rav explains, "one must dig and drink water from one's own well... from the letter that is uniquely mine," and the more we succeed in fulfilling our purpose in the most precise and correct way, the more we will be able to bring peace to the world, and to be among the connectors and not the dividers.
