Divine Will
„In his freedom, the human being resembles his Creator... he recognizes that he needs only to strengthen his will toward the good, and this is given into his hand at every moment; and as soon as his will is elevated, he himself is elevated.”From Shemonah Kevatzim III, 51
If we were told that we are God for one day – truly God – what would we do? Rav Kook says that on a certain level we are there. Our point of will is infinite. We can raise ourselves from a terrible and difficult state to a good state by changing the paradigm and the thought. True, this will not change a difficult reality to a good reality in an instant. But it does change our relationship to it, our ability to respond, and the fact that we are the ones victorious over the situation, and not it over us. "The good will – it is everything!"
