A Year Since the Breaking

„There are times when the clouds of the present darken the sun of eternity... but it is a passing cloud crossing over the face of the sun of righteousness, which will shine forever in all the majesty of its glory.”From Ma'amrei HaRe'iyah, 358

A year has passed, a year of immense breaking, of many fallen, of captive men and women held by the enemy, of the wounded and the maimed, of broken families and broken friends. It is important that we dwell in the sorrow, that we understand the depth of the grief over the breaking of the daughter of our people. And alongside this, it is important that it be said in a great voice – a great sun will return and shine forth. A great sun has already been revealed this year. Self-sacrifice and fortitude of soul of a people that has no equal in the world. We have merited to live in a generation of redemption. A generation so terrible, a generation so immense.

At the start of the year, we posted each day a picture of our brothers and sisters held in the enemy's captivity. We continue to pray for their return, for the victory of our soldiers and our forces, for healing and consolation. For peace.
