Memorial Day

„And we, as is our way, not to fear a long road, go on paving it slowly, this road which we began to pave from our earliest days.”From Orot HaTechiyah, ch. 4

The eternal people does not fear a long road. And on this road there are those who fall, and there is terror, and there is blood, sweat, and tears. And it is terrible and hard, and the family of the fallen of the IDF and of terror victims keeps growing. And all of us, all of us, are part of this cursed circle. But let us not forget that we are in our land - the one whose independence is celebrated this evening, the one without which every day was liable to be the 7th of October - protected, God willing, by our soldiers, masters of our own fate. Our soldiers guard the lives of millions of Israelis; they guard the good in the world, the just.

*

In memory of the fallen of the Israel Defense Forces and the security forces, and the victims of hostile actions. May God avenge their blood.
