Childhood
„And behold, at the beginning of a person's childhood he is not fit to discern a practical order... and the child, in the innocence of his heart, cannot conceive all this, for his heart is full of innocence and love for all of life, and he sees the whole world as a level plain.”From Ein Ayah, Shabbat 55
The world of the innocent child is simple. Complexity comes from the weariness of life and its entanglements, and also from knowledge that gradually descends into the world of the innocent toddler. And therefore we instruct that at the beginning of a child's upbringing one should give him a foundation of love and Torah, and not of the details of halakhah and fine nuances — so that from this foundation he will be able to build a great edifice further along his path.

We are beginning, on our page, a new project in light of the situation. Each day we will attach a photograph of one of the hostages. The study will be dedicated to the well-being of the hostage, to his safety, and to his speedy return to the bosom of his family, very soon.
This study is dedicated today to Ariel Bibas, age 4. He was abducted together with his mother, father, and brother from his home in Kibbutz Nir Oz. Let us all pray for the well-being of Ariel.
