„With the pleasantness and sweetness of the love of God and His delightfulness, all the judgments are sweetened from the whole world entire, and an abundance of blessing, very abundant, is bestowed upon the Assembly of Israel, and the points of good increasingly emerge from every place in which they are embedded.”From Shemonah Kevatzim I, 508
Many wrestle with how to solve our problems — the personal, the familial, the political, the international. There is no miracle cure that will solve all the problems, but there is a miracle cure that can solve some of them: pleasantness and sweetness. Attention to the good. Wonder and the understanding that in the world of the Holy One there is a basic good, and a smile toward it. This, at least, can be a foundation for a better world, and upon this foundation one should build additional and more complex solutions.
