„Great is my love for all creatures, for all of existence. Far be it from me to bring into my heart even a small spark of enmity, of hatred of others. I feel within the fullness of my being my great love for all creatures, and even more so for human beings, and in a still higher measure for the people of Israel, and in several degrees of holiness for those who fear God, for those who keep Torah and commandments, and how much more so for Torah scholars. I do not desire the diminishment of the honor of any person; I want everyone to be elevated, everyone to be honored, raised, and glorified. I must recognize the innermost of my will, the point of my soul's desire, so that I may know how to direct my ways only upward.”From HaRe'iyah Kook, Kovetz VIII, 116
Hatred is a bad quality; we must uproot this trait from its very root.
When a person hates another person, hates another creature, he brings evil into himself.
The Rav testifies about himself that he loves all of existence.
He wishes for the world to be better, for reality to improve and advance, but he does not hate the creatures of the Holy One.
Would that we cleave to his traits.
A pleasant day!
